Innocent Mutanga fled Zimbabwe’s secret police for Hong Kong, lived on the streets, won the right as a refugee to study, and now works at Goldman Sachs. He founded Africa Center Hong Kong to promote cultural understanding and inclusivity, to bridge cultural gaps and foster solidarity between African and local communities. Under his leadership, the Africa Center has become a vibrant hub where people can learn about African culture, history, and contemporary issues through language classes, art exhibitions, and social dialogues.
